OK, here's some wasted free time... I made a family "logo" I think this will go somewhere in the blog layout... A promised redesign is coming... sometime! Feel free to post your opinions. Some of you with design background *cough* Dan *cough* may want to offer suggestions on how to make it even better!

I don't know if you caught it, but there's an "a,"b","c", and "d" in there.
it's nice.. looks very.. might i say, klingon.. :) kudos to andy and the rest of the joslin crew..
oh yea.. and did you do this in photoshop? illustrator? what...
You know I don't have the kind of coin to drop on Adobe! I roll with open-source, in this case, I did most of it with inkscape, kind of an Illustrator clone (vector graphics) and finished it off with some cropping and conversions with Gimp, a Photoshop clone. Inkscape is nice, but does lag pretty significantly behind illustrator (no gradient meshes for example). The Gimp is a bit more mature and I think is a bit more powerful than Photoshop Elements. So that brings the total to $0! Not bad!
very nice.. you make me proud a-dawg. :) screw adobe.. fight the system.. i guess this is a family site, so i should say.. "to heck with adobe" or perhaps.. "adobe are nice people, we should just leave them be" :)
